I’ve been observing my 9 months old daughter from last 15 days. She has recently learned how to crawl and move around the house. I see her exploring the world for herself, she will get under the table, she want to throw things around, she will stand taking a support of chair or a centre table and do every possible thing to explore new world for her self.
I can see that exploring this new world is not a smooth pathway for her. I can see that she falls at-least 10 times in a day and at times hit the floor very badly. Inspite of her struggle in exploring this new world she is not stopped. She gets hurt and after few minutes she is ready to explore this world again. For me she is a true “Risk Taker”, she is not stooped by challenges. She is not been given by conversation of fear or feel unsecured. She is fully “out here” to explore her new world.
When I was observing all this a thought flashed through my mind ” If I can have this ability to take risk. Not be stopped by challenges. Just be fully self expressed, even if I fall down next moment I’m ready to face the challenge. ” I paused for a moment after this thought and than I started laughing. I laughed cause I remembered something – “Even I was 9 months old, born with these quality/ ability to take risk and now I’m searching for something that I had as an inherent quality”. I laughed and laughed thinking how much my fear of taking risk is unreal.
